He fully served his time, and on August 24, 2007, after which three years of supervised release was initiated. 

Lawton received a paralegal degree and also turned out to be a gang mediator.

Larry then became an advocate for many prisoners and ex-offenders, including post-released debt loads and unemployed ex-convicts.
