Bernt Bodal is a successful tycoon born on the 14^th of June, 1953 in Oslo, Norway. His background was pretty below average but that never was an excuse for his success in life.

He was born into the family of a tram conductor (father) and a native of Lofoten (mother), with Anders and Havard as his known brothers.

Biography

He is currently based in Seattle, Washington. For his nationality, he is a Norwegian. His family later took another dimension after his father married another woman- Solbjorg and had to move to US.

Bodal’s life began to experience a turn around when he began working earnestly as a fisherman in Alaska, US. The business was introduced to him by his father through the connections he had in the fishing business.

He initially worked as a deckhand where he did all sorts of manual work. According to him, he worked as a fisherman for 13 years.

Later In 1990, Bernt’s life became a step better when he got his own trawler,  joined the American Seafoods as a minority partner and four years later, he became the President of the company. He now owns about 67% of the company.

Apart from this fishing business, Bernt has a great deal for music. He initially wanted to be a musician but things sometimes don’t work out the way you want, but instead, became a fisherman.

Who knows, his music carrier couldn’t have blossomed as much as his fishing business. Notwithstanding, he still has a passion for music.

Bernt’s interest in music lead to his creating a band while he was young; he also played in the White Sox band. He released three albums. Later in his musical carrier, he performed with famous musicians like Sammy Hagar. He features in a reality TV show- “Undercover Boss”.

His marital life was quite much like his father’s – he initially married Elizabeth Lyn Vargas, a Norwegian as well, she was born April 30, 1955.

The duo met when they were still little at one of Bernt’s relative house in Lofoten. It was probably a love at first sight. They both got married in July 1978 with Bernt at 25 and Elizabeth at 23 years.

She got pregnant not long after their union, a baby boy was born, and that was Thomas Bodal, the eldest. Soon, two more kids were born, Alexander Bodal and Ellen Bodal.

The first born, Thomas, is a professional chef. Alexander pursued his dad’s passion- music. Ellen worked at Amazon and once at the American Seafoods.

Bernt and Elizabeth later had a divorce. According to Elizabeth, he said they had been married for 17 before separating.
